As well as viewing the brand's latest collections, attendees will receive a one-off 20% discount on all items for sale in store (excluding external items). COS, which stands for Collection Of Style, offers high-quality design at affordable prices for men, women and children.

COS's autumn/winter 2013 collection is inspired by nature and features precision-cut silhouettes and cocoon shapes. The focus is on minimal tailoring and cosy textured fabrics perfect for cold winter days. The colour palette is inspired by the mountains and the beach in winter so expect pale sand and sea green alongside traditional black and midnight blue.

In the womenswear collection, clothes such as sculptured wool coats and blazers are cut with a new sharp shoulder, which provides a high-fashion edge. There is a focus on the waist throughout the collection, with peplum details helping feminise sharp tailoring. The collection features some covetable accessories in rich chocolate brown including sharp-heeled high pumps, leather brogues and a folded leather clutch that also opens out to be a shopper.

For men, tailoring is pared back and the collars and lapels have been removed from fitted wool blazers for the cleanest possible lines. Meanwhile items such as grey bonded wool blazers and boiled wool melange jumpers have unstructured shoulders, which gives a soft rounded effect to the overall shape. Coats feature a new long silhouette. A tailored wool melton coat with lengthened lean lapels and a long sleeveless hooded coat that is a modern interpretation of a duffel coat, offer different ways to wear this look. Jackets come with added volume at the back and large hoods, perfect for keeping the elements at bay.

The men's accessory collection focuses on modern reinterpretations of old classics including a Derby shoe rendered with a rounded toe and a white trim highlighting the sole. Stand-out pieces include gloves made from navy wool matched with black leather, and a city bag that comes in black wool with leather. A wide selection of children's clothes is also available for those aged 1-8 years old.

The event takes place on Thursday November 7, 5-8pm at COS, Princes Square, 48 Buchanan Street, Glasgow. Readers attending on the night will receive a one-off 20% discount.
