On Thursday, Lanvin[1] designer Alber Elbaz[2] paired his gold lamé runway looks with a leather tote that quite possibly could have doubled for a Hefty CinchSak.
Elbaz' bags are pretty out there but he's not the only designer who is challenging us to try something new.
Remember, a few seasons ago, when Jil Sander[3] debuted a collection of $630 lunch bags[4] ?
Oh, and what about the time when Karl Lagerfeld[5] introduced the hula-hoop[6] bag?
Even if the bags aren't your bag, I do think there's something to be said for breaking out of a style rut and trying something different. What's the biggest fashion risk you've taken lately?
