A Stamford woman's $250 Roots leather handbag was stolen Dec. 10 from her car parked at Darien Ice Rink, 54 Old Kings Highway North, according to police.

The woman told police she parked around 1 p.m. and left her purse in front of the center console of her 2013 Toyota Sienna, according to the report. When she returned around 2:30 p.m., she found the front driver's side window smashed and her purse gone, police said.

In the purse were several credit cards, $20 in small bills and a $400 white iPad mini.

On Dec. 12, the manager of the Duchess restaurant, 306 Post Road, called police to report that a tan Roots bag had been found in the parking lot. The bag belonged to the Stamford woman and her wallet was still in it, along with a Ridgefield woman's wallet that was stolen in Wilton Dec. 10. The iPad mini and money were not recovered.
