Model David Gandy and chart-topping singer Tinie Tempah narrowly avoided a fashion faux pas at the first full day of London Collections: Men on Monday.

The pair were both sat on the front row of the Topman catwalk and sported surprisingly similar looks - complete with geek chic glasses and scoop-neck T-shirts.

In fact, they looked stylishly synchronised as they mirrored each other perfectly.

Wearing a blue checked suit over a white T-shirt, David looked impossibly handsome as he teamed his look with a chunky watch, leather boots, a pocket square and a 'goatie' beard.

Meanwhile, Tinie opted for a black and white jacket with skinny trousers and white, high-top trainers for a more urban appeal.

At one point the pair - who regularly see each other on London's fashion circuit - even hugged as they were seated next to one another.

Only hours earlier they had been present at the Lou Dalton fashion show, which hosted the likes of Dermot O'Leary, Dylan Jones and Henry Holland.

The men had gathered at the British Fashion Council's show space for the week's very first collection, which was warmly welcomed by critics.

Immediately after there were catwalk runs from designs including John Smedley, Astrid Anderson and Orlebar Brown.

Today's events will close with a display of the new collection by tailor Thomas Pink at the Institute for Contemporary Arts.

On Sunday night London Collections was launched by Kylie Minogue, who co-hosted a party for ever-popular designers Dolce & Gabbana.

Wearing a polka dot dress, Kylie's outfit was straight of the Dolce and Gabbana catwalk, which she accessorised with a gold plated belt and gold clutch bag.

Also in attendance was beauty blogger Tanya Burr.

Guests were treated to a performance from violinist Charile Siem who played for guests at the New Bond St. store in London.

Others who have attended London Collection events so far include Oliver Cheshire, singer Holly Johnson and Jack Guinness.
