One way or another, Abigail Breslin seems bent on burying her Little Miss Sunshine image forever.
The 17-year-old actress showed her rock 'n roll side as she went shopping at Barneys New York in Beverly Hills on Tuesday.
Abigail captivated the eye with her colours, wearing a coral blue dress with a layered handkerchief hemline and a chocolate-brown leather jacket.

The platform black suede boots echoed 1977 and Stevie Nicks, Fleetwood Mac's bewitching songstress, who was known for her flowing chiffon costumes and sky-high footwear.
Abigail, who wore her long golden locks in a side ponytail, was seen leaving the posh department store with one shopping bag over one shoulder and a chic bag over the other.
The outing followed on the heels of her risque appearance at the Los Angeles premiere of August: Osage County.

The former child star looked far older than her years as she arrived on the red carpet on Monday in an interesting number that might have been inspired by a nylon stocking and mailing tape.
The dress had a crew neckline and long sleeves and featured alternating stripes of tan and a grey metallic pleather material.
On that occasion, a gunmetal clutch and beige pointy pumps completed the ensemble.
The teenager is said to be dating Holly Madison's ex-boyfriend, Jack Barakat.

Abigail and the spiky-haired, 25-year-old All Time Low singer first met in April at one of the band's concerts, Us Weekly reported.
According to the publication, the pair were seen getting cosy at the LA premiere party for Abigail's movie Ender's Game on October 28.
Barakat posted a snapshot of the two of them at the party, writing: 'Great pic of my friend @abbienormal9 and myself at the Ender's Game premiere!'
Abigail, meanwhile, has several movies coming out in 2014 including the thriller Perfect Sisters and the horror flick Maggie.
Her acting style is all about connecting to the character.
'One of the things that I’ve learned is to always make sure that when you do something, you really connect to it,' Abigail told Backstage.com in October.
'Because if you don’t have a real strong connection to the character that you’re playing, I don’t think that it really turns out as well as when you do.'
