A pensioner had a bag snatched containing several hundred pounds whilst she was sitting in her car.
Police said the 74-year-old victim was in her vehicle parked on Nelson Street in Morecambe at 3.25pm on November 11 when she saw a man and a woman walking towards her.
The woman approached the car and asked her the time and when she looked at her watch, her bag was snatched from the passenger seat.
The thief then ran off towards Pedder Street.
The black leather handbag was recovered from a bin a short time later, minus the cash.
The thief was described as in her 30s, 5ft2, slimbuild, with blonde, shortish, tinted hair, wearing a denim jacket and scruffy looking two tone jeans.
