Here's What's Left After Day One of the YSL Sample Sale - Racked NY

The YSL sample sale ^[1] opened to the public today, and initial reports were less than pleasing. We stopped by this afternoon to see what was left after the morning rush.

In the women's shoe department, Tribute pumps and sandals and boots/booties were all priced at $250 In terms of sizes, 6 through 8 were lacking, so consider yourself lucky if you fall into the 9.5 to 11 range, as there's a relatively good selection of Tributes and Tribtoos, and even a few slingbacks in suede and leather. (Once again we were barred from photos, so you'll have to use your imagination.)

As far as men's shoes go, everything was priced at $200. Sizes 11 through 15 have the largest selection of sneakers and high tops, including the Malibu Low in navy, the Mojave Pandain forest green, a few white Rolling sneakers, and a few dwindling pairs of the Jonny 65 boots.

Belts all start $50 and up for exotic styles. There's a three bag limit, and prices range from $100 to $600. Wallets and coin purses are scarce to nonexistent. Perhaps the most crowded booth at the sale is the jewelry one, where leather wrap bracelets are were going $50 each. There's a good amount of those left.

A few pairs of sunglasses were still around for $75. The women's clothing department was lackluster but the prices are good. This afternoon, there were one or two good evening gowns left for $400), including a white one-shoulder silk dress in size 34.

We also spotted a nice black pantsuit romper in a size 36, also for $400. Tops, sweaters, pants, skirts, and denim are $50, jackets are $100, dresses are $200 and coats, leather, and fur are $400.
