Riding in tandem on three motorcycles, six unidentified armed men allegedly robbed at gunpoint Monday a Bacoleño, who was divested of P114,103 in cash, in Hacienda Pili, Brgy. Pacol, Bago City, Negros Occidental, police said yesterday. The victim, identified as Robert Padilla, who was driving a white Mitsubishi L200 pick-up truck, told the Bago police that he was chased and held up by the six suspects, one of whom was armed with an M-16 armalite rifle, while the others had hand guns. Padilla, a cellphone load distributor, said that when he stopped his vehicle, one of the suspects took his brown leather bag containing cash. Supt. David Cachumbo, Bago police chief, said that when they reviewed the footage from a closed-circuit television camera near the scene of incident, he said they only saw three motorcycles with four persons on board, who had passed the area. Cachumbo said they will conduct a thorough probe of the incident.*GPB |
