Fashion students from throughout Germany assembled together last night for the “Audi Fashion Awards 2013[1] ” event. The “Audi Fashion Awards 2013” event brought together the top talent from Germany’s fashion schools and showcased their creativity, innovation and flair for current and future trends in fashion. In the midst of all this cutting edge fashion one could not help but notice the handbag trend among guests of the event.
Guests arrived at the “Audi Fashion Awards 2013” carrying medium sized clutches[2] or wearing small shoulder bags[3] . As witnessed on the fall 2013 and spring 2014 runways, there is a huge trend towards smaller handbags[4] . In addition to size, current handbag trends are moving towards shoulder bags, clutches, hobo handbags and drawstring bags. The large amount of shoulder bags and clutches worn by guests of the “Audi Fashion Awards 2013” last night proved the current handbag trends from the runways have already made it to the street; as well as the fashion elite.
After guests arrived to the “Audi Fashion Awards 2013” and mingled, they settled into their seats for a runway show which featured the work of Germany’s top fashion students. Winners of the “Audi Fashion Awards 2013” received a prestigious internship, a cash prize of 2000 euros and the use of an Audi A1 for one month.
