A 57-year-old woman had her handbag snatched from her while she was waiting for a bus.
The robbery happened in Spencer Bridge Road, Northampton at around 6am this morning (Wednesday).
The victim was waiting at a bus stop when she was approached from behind and her handbag was snatched from her shoulder.
She fell to the ground and grazed her hands and knees. The offender then ran off in the direction of Victoria Park and Baring Road.
The offender is described as slim and wearing a grey hooded top with the hood up.
Police are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have been driving past at the time and witnessed the incident or saw the suspect in the area.
The black leather handbag which was stolen may have been left nearby and anyone who finds it is asked to contact the police as soon as possible.
