The days might be sunny and warm, but in New York the drop in temperature at night is enough to remind parents Ellen Pompeo and Chris Ivery that it's that time of year: sweater weather.
On Monday, The Grey's Anatomy star and her hubby dressed their adorable daughter Stella in an autumn-inspired outfit.
The four-year-old was kept warm in a brown and orange knit featuring leather patches on the elbows.

The jumper was teamed with an orange T-shirt over a pair of faded jeans and off-white sneakers to protect the child against the elements.
Stella wasn't the only one who needed to keep the chill away.
Ellen, 43, wore a cheetah-print scarf tucked into her black leather jacket in an effort to keep cosy.
Matched with a pair of vintage-fade jeans, a small black shoulder bag and black ballet flats, the actress was ready to dash off to dinner, complete with a Blackberry in hand.

Meanwhile, Ivery was casual in a baseball cap and Letterman jacket as he carried Stella out of the car.
Ellen originally met the record producer at a grocery store in Los Angeles in 2003, before she starred in the hit ABC drama. The two were married in 2007.
Grey's Anatomy returns to ABC on Sept. 26.
