Malton police are appealing for the public’s help after a burglary near the town.


It occurred during the evening of Tuesday 19 November 2013, from a house on Church Lane, Welburn.


The thieves stole a gold and diamond engagement ring, a diamond cluster ring, a gold necklace and a gold cross with turquoise insets. Also taken was a brown leather purse, a black leather handbag and a small brown suitcase.


Detective Constable Clair Gascoyne, of Malton CID, said: “If you were in the Church Lane area at the time of the burglary, I urge you to come forward straight away, as you could have vital information that could help my investigation.


“I am also keen to speak to anyone who may have been offered any of the stolen items and ask them to get in touch.”
