A candlelight vigil is planned to remember William "Huey" Huson, a Talent cab driver who was killed on his 58th birthday on Oct. 20, 2012.

The vigil will begin at 6 p.m. today on Helo Drive in Medford, where his body was found.

Huson's cab company, Valley Cab, lost radio contact with Huson after he picked up a passenger at Howiee's on Front and reported him missing at 1:02 a.m. Oct. 21. Huson's cab was located at Ninth and Almond streets four hours later. His body was found in a field along Helo Drive, which is off East Vilas Road just west of Highway 62. He had been shot in the head.

Police believe the killer also stole a black leather shaving bag that Huson used to carry personal items in, including an electronic Cig2o vapor cigarette, a brown, bifold leather wallet, which held Huson's identification and some paperwork, and an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police are still looking for the killer. Anyone who has information about this case is asked to call Medford police at 541-770-4783.
