Tennessee Highway Patrol is in charge of investigating an incident in which a vehicle reportedly damaged utilities in the area of Dalton Pike.
Officials with Bradley County 911 confirmed the crash occurred earlier today and closed Dalton Pike near the Tennessee/Georgia state lines to traffic.
No details were available regarding specifics of the crash.
- A commercial battery and several smaller batteries were reported stolen from the back of a rollback wrecker.
According to a report filed by deputy Kameron Cron of the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office, Jerry Taynor said he heard loud noises coming from the end of his driveway at his residence on Wen-Dell Lane, and as he approached the end of the driveway, he saw a small SUV drive away.
Taynor said he discovered the large battery and seven smaller batteries missing from the bed of the rollback.
Taynor estimated the loss at $170.
- Deputy Matt Parris filed a burglary report for Robert William Langley at his Williamsburg Road residence.
Langley said the incident occurred Monday.
According to the report, missing from the home were three old cellphones, a Nintendo Wii, a Canon camera, an X-Box and controller, a brown leather purse, a black duffle bag containing jewelry, knives, a Gameboy machine, a baby monitor and a Canon camera.
The loss was estimated at approximately $4,000.
Investigation has been turned over to the Criminal Investigations Division at the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office.
